Planescape: Torment was a very story driven game, and very wordy вЂ“В and it appears that TTON will be doing the same thing as their kickstarter states вЂњTorment will have a strong emphasis on story and character development, which will permeate other facets of gameplay, such as combat and explorationвЂќ. This is one that I am incredibly excited for, having been a fan of similar games, such as Planescape: Torment, BaldurвЂ™s Gate (1 and 2), Icewind Dale, etc, and a lot of others are excited too, as seen on their kickstarter for the game, having received over $4.1 million dollars in funds. TTON will be in the eyes of many, a spiritual successor to the amazing and highly role play focused Planescape: Torment which came out in 1999.
